Entries open for Dramafest

To enter you must submit a completed entry form and pay the entry fee.

There are three ways to get an entry form:

Ask your local ITA member club who would have been sent an entry form.

Entries close for Dramafest

All entries to Dramafest must be received by 11:59pm on Friday 4th August 2017. Entries received after this date will only be included in the program at the discretion of the festival director. For an entry to be considered valid, entry fees must have been paid by this date.

18th August 2017

Programme details due for all entries

Each entry must provide details to be included in the festival programme. A sample of what is required for your programme details will be sent to your festival liaison. Entries which do not provide programme details will not be considered for awards during the festival.

10 minute spotlight entries are also required to provide the relevant programme details to be considered for scholarships and awards. Please read your information pack carefully for what is required for each section.

18th September 2017 (Week commencing)

Technical Meetings and Rehearsals

All entries in to Dramafest and 10 Minute Spotlight will be allocated a time for their technical meeting rehearsal. This time will be decided upon closer to the festival and discussed with each entry to ensure all entries are able to attend their meeting and rehearsal. Due to the large number of entries and the time it would take, it will not be possible for entries to have a full stage run of their entry at this time, however entries may rehearse a section of their work if time allows.

20th - 25th September 2017


Dramafest 2016 is scheduled to take place the week commencing 18th September and concluding on 25th September. Performances are due to take place every evening from 7:30pm – 10:00pm with a matinee performance on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00pm – 3:30pm. Dates and times will be confirmed once all entries are received. The festival director will liaise with each entry to ensure they can attend their performance evening.

Sunday 24th September 2017

Festival Gala

All performers, crew, directors, producers and volunteers of Dramafest will be invited to an exclusive Gala event to celebrate the achievements of the festival. At this time all awards will be decided and scholarships, prizes and other awards will be presented to winners. The evening will include free drinks, food and entertainment. Entrance is strictly through invitation only.
