Working With Children Check – Template Policy

Template WWC Check policy (draft 2) 300518 (clean)
At the request of members the ITA engaged Creative Legal, a well respected arts law firm, to interpret the legislation for community theatre and develop a policy template for use by ITA members.

The template will need to be used exactly as that: a template for you to develop a policy that is reflective of your organisation.

This Policy does not cover in detail the process of obtaining or administering WWC Checks, and the club may develop other policies to cover other aspects of WWC Checks, including when to revise this Policy.

This Policy is also not to be relied on as constituting legal advice on the club’s obligations under the Act, and should any issues arise in making any assessment or decision under the Act or for WWC Checks, the club will seek its own legal advice (including from any other body) to make that assessment or decision.
