Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead flips the script on Hamlet, focusing on two minor characters who are bewildered by the events unfolding around them. Summoned by the king to figure out what's wrong with Hamlet, they encounter a traveling theater troupe and witness snippets of the familiar play.
While waiting to fulfill their mission, they engage in absurd conversations and coin-tossing games, grappling with their lack of control and purpose in a story they don't understand. Stoppard's play blends comedy and tragedy to explore themes of fate, free will, and the nature of reality.
